Privacy Policy – North Light

North Light respects your privacy. This app is designed to work entirely offline and does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to any external servers.
Data Collection
North Light does not collect any personal information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Location history sent to a server
- Device identifiers
- Analytics or tracking data
Location Data
North Light uses your device’s location, heading, altitude, and motion sensors solely to provide core functionality:
- Compass and direction display
- Altitude information
- Optional GPX track recording
All location data is:
- Processed locally on your device
- Never transmitted to the developer or third parties
- Never used for tracking or advertising
GPX Recordings
If you enable GPX recording:
- Track data (location, time, speed, pitch, roll) is stored locally on your device
- Files are saved only in your personal app storage
- You have full control to view, export, or delete recordings at any time
Data Storage
By default, all GPX recordings are stored locally on your device.
If you enable the optional “iCloud Storage” feature, your GPX files are stored in your personal Apple iCloud Drive, inside a folder named “North Light”. This data is stored and managed entirely by Apple using your own iCloud account.
North Light does not access, collect, analyze, or transmit your data to any external servers. The developer has no access to your iCloud data at any time.
In-App Purchases (Tips)
North Light may offer optional in-app purchases (tips) via Apple’s App Store:
- Payments are processed exclusively by Apple
- The developer does not receive any personal or payment information
Third-Party Services
North Light does not use:
- Analytics services
- Advertising networks
- Third-party SDKs that track users
Children’s Privacy
North Light does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if app functionality changes. Any updates will be reflected in the App Store listing or within the app.
